An Honor Homicide?

Finally back to my writing journal again! I just read an article from Taipei Times on honor killing, which reported an Muslim man murdering his own daughter. The Muslim father discovered that his daughter was falling in love with a British soldier while she was working on an family aid project. Out of disgrace the father then suffocated the daughter and chopped her to death. According to the man’s wife, his husband calling out that his honor was being cleansed while slaughtering his daugher. The father was arrested, held for a couple of hours, and then released without charge.

What the shocking news it is! Is there any law allowing a person to kill another innocent person without charge? I can’t think any but this kind of “honor murder.” What does the Bible say about this? It is crystal clear that do not murder.

One response to “An Honor Homicide?”

  1. These crimes are believed to have their origins in misinterpretations of pre-Islamic Arab tribal codes. They aren’t indigenous to all cultures.
