   Short Plot ~The Yearling~

   There was a family (Baxter) depending the life on their farming in Florida. One day Penny took his son Jody to fetch a trouble bear in a forest. Although Penny was bitten by a poisoned snake seriously there, he survived by applying the liver of a female deer just past by him. The deer he shot actually left a fawn(Flag),and Jody had a permission to have that fawn as his pet. Gradually, they became like great friends. But when the family suffered disasters, Flag was innocently eating up all the crops the family had made. For their life, Ora made Jody to kill Flag by a gun. Finally Jody did so, but from the unbearable sorrow and anger, he thought up running away to Boston alone. On the way to Boston, he deserved hunger, coldness and loneliness. In the end, he returns home, and promised his parents that he would help them to get through another tough year again.
