In the story The Cat, even the little creature was a hallucination or a mind trick, what mattered to the man was “the key to survival.” Like the man’s journey in the desert, our lives could be like that, full of hardship and hopelessness. Sometimes we need food or drink (not physically), speaking of them mentally, emotionally or perhaps spiritually, to survive. Some we think we’ve got nowhere like the man walking so long but there being “a million miles of nothing ahead. Under that circumstance we feel like we’re going to give up, But something can dawn on us that we can prevail no matter what. Do you have anyone where you can run to, who becomes your “driving force” and how that person has helped you in your life journey?

I have a good friend who always encourage me.When I am in a bad mood, I call her everytime. She listens to me carefully and suggests me what I should do with the next step.I just thank for her what she has done foe me.

The person who makes me go ahead are my parents and the God. I know they have a great expectation on me and they want me do better and better. Everytime, when I want to give up, there’s always a sound said to me,”don’t be afraid, I’m with you. I’ve prepared you a good way.” And my mom also tells me that she has a wonderful plan for me. Just do your best, do not give up. Yes! So, what should I afraid? I need to go forward, there’s a cross in front of us. Just submit our hands to God, he’ll take us to the wonderful place.

My sister is always the person who I depend on.When I feel down or upset,I will tell her.Everytime, after I talk to her,I must be better.In my heart,she plays a role in my teacher,my friend.

I think everyone has their own spiritual power, it can be called willpower. but everyone has a different goal and different backgrounds, interests and so will be a significant influence. and I felt my own willpower is not enough Often do well at the beginning of the incident, but the last to even give up easily.
