Ms. Kuo, a sister at Teacher Christian Fellowship as well as one of my colleagues in the Department of Accounting, has been teaching accounting related courses at Shih Chien University for more than 20 years. She enjoys teaching greatly at Shih Chien and loves the name Shih Chien in particular. The name shih chienshi jian means praxis distinguished from theory. Ms. Kuo likes to illustrate the name by using her personal experience. She mentioned that which we put into practice is more important than that which we learn like a true Christian who must preach what he talks and talks what he preaches.

    top 10 reasons:

    1. We have great and patient teachers who cares us very much.

    2. We have a lot of good equipment provided students

    to use.(e.g.: computers, projecters…)

    3. There are many clubs here to choose.

    4. Small campus lets students more convenient .

    5. Beatiful buildings like building A and L.

    6. Toilet paper provided!

    7. Convenient shopping areas like 7-11, students’

    restaurant….and so on.

    8. Cheaper fee than other schools!

    9. Good gym to use!

    10. A cute and fat cat of the bookstore!

    1. We have the most popular department of design in Taiwan.

    2. There are a lot of singers film their music videos in our school. Also they film advertisings and dramas.

    3. Shih Chien was locating on urban area, so our traffic was very convenient.

    4. The lavatory in our schoo is very clean so we can use it comfortable.

    5. Having convenient of environment.

    6. Shih Chien’s equipment is better than others.

    7. Teachers in Shih Chien are kind for their students.

    8. We don’t have to ride a bike to school because our campus is very small.

    9. Because we have a smaller campus, we can make friends very easily.

    10. We have many famous clubs.

    1. having 10% off discount in Eslite and 7-eleven (which are located in the H building).
    2. only takes 10~15 mins to Miramar on foot.
    3. purchase daily use easily since there are lots of drugdstores like Watsons and Cosmed nearby.
    4. the tuition is much more cheaper than the other private schools.
    5. maybe it’s the safest university in Taiwan because the Ministry of National Defense is located right next to the campus.
    6. the social order is well maintained in this area.
    7. well organized public transportation. (but not that so well for me to get there from TuCheng)
    8. there is the most creative building amoung all the campus in Taiwan. (the A building)
    9. offering the most famous and outstanding the college of designing in Taiwan.
    10. displays lots of designing works to inspire our creativity.

    1. Shih Chien is in Taipei that I can live with my family.
    2. The school nears my grandparents’ house. When I have free time, I can visit them.
    3. The building are modern, I like modern building.
    4. Go to school by bus and MRT is really convenient.
    5. We have 7-11, book store and Starbucks in the campus, it’s very convenient.
    6. We have many different kind of shop and stores near our campus.
    7. The school environment is very clean.

    7.you can see beautiful girls in anywhere in campus
    8.near by the Shi Lin night market and Miramar Entertainment Park, when you leave school you don’t worry have nowhere th go
    9.the trafic is very convienient, because many routes of bus near our school
    10.professors are all very profesional!

    2. Teachers teach less students (compared with other bigger colleges) ,so the they can students and teacher are more familiar with each other.
    3. Our fashion design departmant is famous and creative, so we can enjoyr shows or pieces very often.
    4. The transportation is conveient.
    5. Stores near Shih Chien often give students discount.
    6. he atmosphere is liberal and lively.
    7. We don’t have to spent too much time on changing classroom, we also do not have to ride a bike or motorcycle when we need to change the building.
