You might or might not have a job similar to Wilkin’s, or you might not be treated with respect while working part-time. Sometimes people will underestimate us like the job we have or the way we talk or behave. When was the last that people underestimated you, put you down, or didn’t treat you properly because of where you from (your background), the school you went to, or who you related to? Write two or three paragraphs b y using examples from your own experience.

One day, I unconsciously heard two women who were discussing whether they would let their children study in Cheng-Zheng junior high school or not. To my astonishment, they only had the negative comments about my school. “The students were impolite because they used rudely words and formed many bonds. Teachers had been bothered by those students for so many years. You’d better think twice before letting your children enter to the school.” A woman said. “What’ more. The students did not like to study. During the class, they would either dose off or chat with others. The courses were serious delayed. For those diligent students, their learning environment had been deprived. responded by another woman.
As the two women notice me who wear the uniform of Cheng-Zheng junior high school, they looked down upon me and stared my body from the top to the down side.
I was annoyed and felt I was labeled as those deviation students. They kept silence and pretended to look at the outside of the bus. I knew some of the students did go astray but there still were students who had good morals. I still believed the two women would change their attitude toward our school as long as our classmates have more self- discipline. -
Unfair things may happen in family. Take me for example, I’m the third child of my parents. When I was young, over 80 percent the clothes I had were my older sisters had ever wore and every time bought new dress were not my turn. I asked my Mom why and she answered that we, siblings, were grew fast and often spent money to buy clothes; therefore, wearing alternately was a good way to reduce expenses.
I think my oldest sister was the happiest one but this was very unfair to me. I also wanted some new dress to look pretty. My Mom didn’t know it’s very important to listen to my little heart’s desirable voice. “I want… I want so much.” In spite of hearing the weak voice, she still chooses to ignore. It harmed me also my little sister. She was the forth girl of my family and I paid my sympathy to her because she had the same fate like me. It’s not fair to us. -
In my life, it is a lot of unfair things for me.For example, I always study harder in English. Actually, I frustrated many times.Although I entered into applied foreign language department, I would feel frustrated in learning.
One day, I heard from my classmate say she was signed absent, Actually she didn’t and asked teacher to ease the record. In contrast, the teacher told them to have do some works, It is unfair and why the teacher mistake have to let student have punished. Don’t we have to think about? -
There is a common phenomenon that those students who doesn’t come to school very often always turn up in class before the exam. It’s happened one week before the mid-tern exam. The class is lasting about 20 minutes, suddenly the teacher said “Who is the FIRST time attend this class, leave right now!” We were shocked what the teacher said. “Don’t you leave? O.K. Now I give you 3 minutes to tidy away your staff. As I come back, I hope you have already gone.” What is the situation now? What happened? After few minutes, the teacher came back. “Don’t you want to leave? Alright, I leave.”I don’t know who the teacher is said to. As soon as the teacher finishes the conversation, he leaved. I think it’s unfair for us, because we lose our right to attend the class. And sometimes people who are docile always have to listen the repine of the teacher by force. It’s un fair.

I remenber in my fresh year, I hasve a part job in the supermarket. Because I am the fresh person, I should to do many things, not only I should to do things, but also oyhers people job’s things. I think it’s so unfair. Because everyone has their things should to do. Not every things give the fresh person do.

In my opinion, unfair is very common phenomenon in our society or family especially, in my family. My family and I would go to travel every single year and most of journey always had quarrels. And every time we had the same question that is bed. Because we had about 16 people and the bed only for 12 people and my cousin and I slept on the floor. I think it is very unfair to us. Why we slept on the floor all the time. I was very furious about this unfair thing. So I argue with my aunties and my mother. However, they said, they are elders and we did not earn money so we deserved it. Therefore, in order to solve this troublesome problem I figured out a perfect solution that is I will save money and reserve one room for ourselves. Otherwise, the same situation will happen over and over again.

The unfair thing for me is still happening. This is something about nickname. When we try to give someone a nick name we often judge them with our first imagine towards to the person. This is how stereotype happens. For me the first image is the most unfair thing in the world.
When I was in freshman year we had a drama contest. I played a roll which was a father and this was the beginning. From then on, my classmates gave me a nickname called “daddy”. I was thinking that I was just 19 years old why should I be called daddy? I’m still a young guy just like you guys. However, my classmates still call me “Hey, daddy” every now and then. Inside in my heart I still want to say I’m not that kind of adultness.

In a special occasion, there are many relatives came to this family reunion. Most of my cousins came this reunion, too. There was one thing I disliked most, that is adults always started to talk about their children. Making some annoying questions like these; “Which school do your children attend? “, “Do your children find a great job after graduated? “. I think these kind of questions are really annoying. If there was a child attend the national university, and other children who attend the private university will be compared with this child.
I think this kind of questions are totally not fair to us. These questions mean the university students are smarter and better than the private school students. In adults’ mind, they think the children who can attend the national university means they are good children, and the children who attend the private university means they are smart but these children are just not diligent. I believe that the only way can change this situation is that I have to be more diligent to improve that adult’s thinking is totally wrong.

Just like the Wilkin, I was underestimated by customers. The percents of service industry are highest in Taiwan. Customer for us is important and respectable. However, they break loose and order us to do this and that without saying any grateful words like thanks. Even worse, they would be picky with the dishes or the attitude even though we obey them. I had an experience in my first working place. It was about 10 o’clock and there were still a lot of customers in store. Because it was the time to us to relax and had dinner in the kitchen, there were few waiters/waitresses outside. At about half after 10, there were about 15 people came inside and they would like to sit together. As I said, there were still many other customers, so there were no 15 empty seats together. I asked them to divide into 7 and 8 respectfully. However, they said they didn’t want to and yelled at me then left. I was astonished!! Is that difficult to divide? After this event, I learned to be more respect to every waiters and waitresses and help them arrange dishes.

Most adult or parents all think that being a good child has to study the great school; especially attending the school is established by government. That’s a phenomenon which I see. Although my parents don’t really care about that, I still very concern about others opinions. I don’t know why I have such this sense of that. There are two reasons maybe can explain it.
Let’s the first reason, in my studying process, I always meet friends who very smart and also can take exams very well. As the result of this situation, I talk me that I have to be better like them. I give more pressures to myself. I am afraid of hearing some words such as someone saying that I’m so stupid and they don’t want to make friend with me.
The other reason is that some relative would compare with their children. I don’t like it very much. I think that why they can judge a child who has a good reports or not. It’s really not fair! -
When I was a high school student, our school was very emphasize that our grade of math and we almost had a math test every week or once two weeks. Unfortunately, I wasn’t good at math so my teacher thought I am not a good student since I can’t get good score of math. But I just bad at math, I wasn’t bad at every subjects. Why did my teacher think I wasn’t a good student? Maybe our education push we only care about Chinese, English and Math. If students don’t good at this three subjects, their teachers may not like them. At least some of my classmates and I were not treated equally in our high school.

I think there are many “unfair” things for me. For example, my gender would be the first problem. Our traditional in my family actually make me very angry in my childhood. When I was a little girl, my mom always wanted to do housework. And she would told me that” daughter, I do this it’s for your own good! You have to do housework, or some people would say you are not a good wife in the future!’’. I felt really angry about my mom opinion. Whenever I washed the dishes or walked so far to through the garbage, my brother just keeps watch television and didn’t have to do housework. And I would ask my mom why my brother didn’t have to do anything. My mom would say” his wife would do for him in the future!” Oh! That’s really unfair! Although the tradition change a lot, but some parents will still have those stupid stereotype!

Actually, I had the same experience like Wilkin. Also worked in a restaurant named Swensens. It was my second year in college everything is new and I want to experience the feeling so I got a part-time job that summer. However, the job is totally different with I thought. It’s very tired and just like the author’s write. Part-time job is the lowerest paid job but as hard as the full-time worker. Most of the student work in a part-time job is they have to afford some tuition. I guess I am lucky work this job just for fun, so no matter the job how hard is I can not have too much pressure.

I think that unfair is a common phenomenon in the modern society. For example, every time someone knows where I live, and they always say, “There is so dirty and has many gangsters.” They are right, partly. However, I think where I live does not represent or influence my personality. Take another example, when I was a freshmen, some people would ask me where I graduated from. After I told them, they looked at me with scorn. It really hurt me about their thought.
More and more unfair things happen when people work. For instance, once I was interviewed by a mother who looked for a tutor. She asked me what university I studied, and I answered the question. Then, she said I could do right now because the school was not good enough. I think it is really unfair to me. -
In my opinion, unfair is very common phenomenon in our society. No matter in workplace or in family. We will felt unfair because we set on the same line to read one things but everyone has different personality and reactions toward things. There is an argument me and brother few years ago. We had a fight about amount of allowance. Mother said brother is elder than me three years so he needs to get more money to spend. That time I felt that is so unfair. Both of we are students; we also have to get the same. That time I even felt because mother loved brother more than me. After having the fight with brother, I felt regret. Although I got the same amount of money like brother but I didn’t save them. Until now I understand, People need to spend more money when they get elder to pay many things.

I didn’t have a job similar to Wilkin’s. But I have another example while working part-job. i have taken a part-time job for a half and a year. And I am happy here with my job and colleges. In the beginning, my boss treated nicely. Do not let me feel strange or not familiar with this new environmentm she chatted a lot with me. During that time, I considered that she was a nice person. But in recent months, I found that she was not a truley nice person as I think. I observed that she only treats new staff nicely. Until the new staff was not new, she would not treat you as nicely as new staff than before.
In my opinion, I think it’s not fair. Maybe it;s one of her ways to close staff or she wanted us to help her make money. But what I want to say is that everyone is same and equal. If she really wants us to do something good for work, she has to treat us nicely, too.
