Walking With Him Until I Am Not
Process writing is another writing mode that deals with “the series of steps or acts that brought or will bring about a particular result.” Order in time or chronology is crucial to this kind of how-to process writing.
The topic for you to write this week is “how you study”. Think about various common actions as you begin to study. Make sure the list of actions are placed in an order that makes sense.
Stuying was a difficult thing for me because I couldn’t pay attention patiently. But now I find some way to make me focous on books. Before studying, I would clean my book desk simply and put a bottle of water or drinks under the desk. I want to make sure I am not attracked by other things. And the funtion of drinks is help me to wake up if feel sleepy. When studying, it’s necessary to write or take notes because it will help me remenber. When finding that I am not concentrate on book, I would like to leave desk and walk around because breath some fresh air can relax my mind. That’s the ways I study.
I write while study; I mean writing helps me to study, like, memorize the new vocabularies, the year of historical event. I memorize things through write them down, it is troublesome for many but not for me. The environment can affects me while study; my table will remain clean whenever I studying or reading. This topic reminds me those days of preparing the entrance exam in college a lot. I made a schedule about “what am I going to study a day” which made me felt more efficient in study. Not only the schedule of studying, I also made a list of “resting hour”; it is important to rest enough after studying because the relaxing hour would make you more energetic while you get back to your works.
I don’t like to study and I don’t have enough patience. In my childhood, I wasn’t a good grade student. My grades are almost in the middle. If I set up a goal and make decision to finish it, it totally rely on my will. I hate somebody who humilate me again and again. I made up my mind wanting you to eat the words.Take studying English for example, I study again and again. It conclude vocabulary, grammar, writing and all sentence structure. During this study period, it is very painful. I could be defeated but I won’t give up. My study way is easy that is countine to keep reading and writing.
I like to read English magazines and novels. And if a book all written in English I will completely finished it and find out the vocabulary and idioms that I do not understand. On the other hand, I will watch movies and listen to the radio. Especially, movies I will watch many times. Because movies not only help me to understand how native speakers of English talk in their daily life but also train my listening ability.
When preparing midterm or final test, first I would like to write down the schedule of studying. For example, I would write study listening on Monday, reading on Tuesday etc. And then I would follow this schedule. After writing down the schedule, I would take out all of the textbooks and scan the ranges of tests all over again. Then, take out the papers and write down the key points of books. If I feel bored or sleepy, I would stand up and walk around then keep studying.
I think that if you want me to study patiently, that is means the others should take the computer away and pull off the Internet cable. I really can not concentrate when the computers appear by my side. There are a lot of interesting website, such as Facebook, Plurk, and Youtube. They have many games and vedios. And I think that I should be more patient on my studying because the final exam is coming.
The way to help me study is that read one more time and writes down the key point. I believe that this way can make me memorize the contents in text book. However, the disadvantage for my studying habit is that I am always passive to study. When the exam is coming, I would be willing to face the facts and start to study. I know that is not a good habit and have to improve the attitude of studying. I think that there are a lot of ways of studying and find the appropriate ones for you.
Practice writing some key words help me memorize these words. It also makes me be more concentrating on study. I think be concentrate on book is very important, because if I don’t concentrate on study, even thought I sit in front of desk and book but think other things in my mind, it doesn’t useful. Sometimes I feel tired. I will listen music or play a little game on facebook, it relax my mind and give me more energy.
I prefer to study in quiet surroundings. I am easily to lose my attention if there is lot of things which interested me or when someone is watching TV in the living room it interrupted me as well. So I always study in the mid-night or in the very early morning. My desk must be clean as I am going to study, so before starting reading, I take some time to clean the desk up. Then study!
When I study, I like to speak it out. It really helps me to memorize the vocabulary and phrases. If the sentences are too long or complicated, I will find a note book to write it down many times. Later on, when I wait for the bus to school, I can take the note out and memorize. When I encounter some problem I cannot solve immediately, I will have a cup of water to let my brain calm down. So my train of thought will more clearly. I feel dizzy after ling time study, I must take a nap. That my study process.
From time to time the teachers tell us that considerate in class and you and save lots of time on study at home. I guess for student like us have heard these kinds of words for many time. However, for me, it the way hoe I study. Every day I go to school I try to be in a good condition for learning. For some reasons that it because the courses I take is what I interested in, so I won’t feel boring during classes. When the teacher is teaching, I try my best to pay fully attention to listen what the teacher is talking about. By doing so, I can absorb most of the knowledge rather than study after school.
Before studying, I would stretch out my legs and hands for about 10 minutes in my room. Especially, during the final-exam, there were many subjects that really put me into big pressure. This warm-up action would help me feel relax and energetic. Not all of the subjects had the same preparations. It needed time to experience and find out which one was the most effective for you. I tend to listen to pop radio while I read subjects related to mathematics. The light music played around me would stimulate my thoughts and let me solve the math questions more easily. Now, I took economics and also put this studying strategy into practice. It really worked well for me and help me pass every exam for two semesters.
It is strange that I like to study in a noisy surroundings. I can watch TV when I study. I think it can make me more focus on study. And I prefer to study on my bed because every time I study in front of desk, I always want to sleep.
I have different ways to study different subjects. Like listening test, I like to speak it out and write down on papers. Or oral class, if I have a speech, I will practice as many times as I can before.
How I study English. Most of students treat English as a content subject, like history, geography or literature. All we have to do is memorize a lot of facts and get the high scores. That was my thought when I was a senior high school student. Actually, becoming proficient in a foreign language is more like learning to play the piano. You want to be a expert, you must paid something. That is taking practice – a lot of practice. The more important question is whether or not we have the motivation. Many people only want to learn English to pass tests in school. That’s not enough. You really have to know the reason about why you want to learn English. For me as example，maybe a strong desire to communicate with people in the different cultures is my purpose to learn English .Help yourself to know where to start and you have to apply yourself.
I process I study is really simple. I will read the article at fist and understand the words that I don’t know. And read the article again and again till I can totally remember this essay. If I felt a little sleepy, I will play some music. I felt this way was really useful. Sometimes I would study with my friends; I think this is another way to study. We would discuss together and solve the problems together. that can make us study more efficiently.
When I study to learn English, I didn’t like to test vocabulary. There are lots of words and all of these words are difficult to remember, so I got the poor grade on my test during that time. I was angry myself did not do well on the test. Owing to getting poor grade several times, I made up my mind to learn vocabulary well. I tried to use another learning attitude to learn again. When I forgot how to spell the word, I would write it down on my notebook. And I will spend trivial time reading again and again. I also found that I could remember quickly by it’s pronunciation. This is really helpful. When I remembered lots of words, I found it’s not difficult to learn English anymore. Now, I love to test vocabulary. Remembering vocabulary becomes my favorite thing,
