A Tough Decision

As the former U.S. president George W. Bush left his second term presidency, many media and news reporter asked him what he was planning to do after his retirement. Mr. Bush replied to them in a reflective manner, “Perhaps I will write a book on the tough decisions I have made in my administration.” We have to make several decisions, big or small, every day. In the process of making decisions, we may be placed in dilemma so that we often need advice and guidance from others. What is the toughest decision you have ever made: going to college, choosing a major, leaving home or something else?

  5. I think the toughest decision I have ever made was choosing a major. I remember that when I would graduated from junior high school and prepared a big test hard in order to enter a good college. At that time, i was confused about my future because I didn’t know what things I could do. It was a difficult moment for me to to make a big decision for my future. Now, I am studying at SHIH CHIEN. Sometimes, I will still think that whether my decision is correct or not.

  6. The toughest decision that I had ever made was chosing major. I had asked many people that as they chose their major, they would take what into account. Is it deponded on the future trend? But how could I expect that after I graduated from college, this major still had the positive bonus on my way to find a job? Take education for example, being a teacher was no longer an easy way to achieve. Though it was my dream to educate the younger generation and cultivate them into a man full of ambitions, I had almost given up my dream of being a teacher. But I still believe that where there is a will, there is a wall. As long as I stick to my goal, I would receive what I really want. On the other hand, I was interested in design but as considering the future career, I bury it in my mind. However, the enthusiastic of designing would never evaporate. Maybe, in the future, it would be my hobby that boost me to achieve more goals.

The toughest decision that I have ever made was chosing major. When I graduated from high school, I had to decide what kind of major I want to study in the college. In that moment, I didn’t have any idea. My parents and friends gave me some suggestions. They wanted me to think seriously what my interest was.
Now, I’m a SHIH CHIEN student I hope that this decision is correct to me.

  8. I think I had made a tough decision that was choosing a chollege. As I graduated from high school, I chose my mjor is Enghlish. However, I didn’t have any idea about a college. At that time, my first choice was in Taichung. But, my mom didn’t like this choice because it is too far away from Taipei. Therefore, I study in Shin chien and I hope this decision is right.

  9. The toughest decision is what I’d like to do in the future. Do I keep studying or working? I had already thought this question for about two years. However, I can’t determine any of one because there are disadvantages both of them. Maybe I will take a year break and found a part-time job then decide what to choose.

In my high school years I was in the department of comprehensive high school. In the second year of comprehensive high I had to decide which subject I was going to study. I had two choices one is the typical vocational high and the other one is the typical senior high. At first, I decided to choose the typical vocational high. The reason was that most of my friends were going to chose that one, but my parents said no. All for a sudden I felt like fell in to a complex hole, but I still had to make a decision. I sat down and thought all the pros and cons of each decision and what I’m really interested in. Then, I came up with an idea. I decided to choose the senior high. Though the senior high was a big cahllenge, I still overcame all the hardships.
Here I am, a junior in USC major in English which is my favorite. I didn’t feel regret as I look back.

Because I always care about the fat of foods, it may get me heavier, low fat may better and more health, but It’s not too delicious, and at the same time, I also want to have delicious food but with high fat, that’s why it’s so tough to me to make the decision. Healthy, thinner or delicious, fatter?

  13. The tough decision I ever made was I decide to move out from my home. This was a big challenge to me, because I have never left my home before. I felt really exciting and also scare any new things. Before went to the college, my mom protect me really well, when ever I want went to the place that far from my home, my mom would always bring me there. Thus, actually I seldom go out with my mother. I would make this decision that I went to go another country to study; my mother was really shock. Although this decision was tough to me, but now I adapt really well!

English and history are two my favorite subjects. Therefore, when I chose my major after I finished the university entrance exam, I hade to make a choice to what is my major in college. And it is really a tough decision to me. Both my mother and I think that English is an important and useful subject. Finally I chose English to be my major. So I am a student of applied foreign language department in USC now.

  15. I never make a tough decision because my family. No matter how I told them that I want to learn how to deicide my live, they still said no because they thought I will fail. For example, my senior and college were chosen by my parents. When I was twelfth grader, I have to decide my major in college at that time, and I was desire to major in special education. In order to that, I stirred up a family revolution. In the end, I still follow my parents’ decision. After that, I don’t want to tell my truly desire to my family. Until now, they seem to give me a little right to do what I want. In fact, they do so just because I stirred another revolution again.

Before 17 years old, anything is easy for me to make decision. Until reciving the grade report from College Entrance Examination Center (CEEC), I made a toughest decision that is retaking the entrance exam. I remembered I was depressed at that moment. I wanted to study in Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA), so I decided to retake the exam. Despite I didn’t dare to say that I can study in TNUA after retaking the exam, only I knew that is impossoble to study in when I didn’t try. Although I didn’t apply for entering TNUA finally, I tried mt best at least. Now, I’m happy to study in Shih Chien University. In department of AFL, I find another interest. I believe that what will you do in the future is more important than what do you do now.

After receiving the first score of college entrance examination center, I found that I can recommend the Shih Hsin University of their department of English. Not waiting for a long time, I got the notification which said I pass the first step of the audition. Then I came to make the decision whether to prepare the interview or give up this chance to spend my whole time studying for the second examination. My tutor and English teacher were supporting me to take the chance. And keep studying for the next examination. Although I was failed to the audition, I really thank for whom are on my side and experience this precious experience.

  19. Our life is keeping make the decision and each decision will affect the result. My tough decision is to choice the school work and love. I am not the kind of student will focus on one thing when do the things. So if I have a girlfriend when studying, I might let my study fail. So I think to choice one of these two is the best way for me to solve the problem. However the most important thing is no matter what I choice I should take full responsibility and never feel regret.
