Why Do You Like It?

Do you like TJ’s writing class?  If TJ is driving you crazy, you may come up with several example of why you don’t enjoy TJ’s class, things like always giving weekly quizzes and writing assignments, rarely grading students’ papers, ignoring student questions, talking in a monotone or seldom finishing the lesson.  This types of paragraph writing is example writing or exposition.  Much of our daily communication is explaining how something works, why something happened, what something is , or how a thing is like or unlike something else. Good example writing must use numerous examples to explain, to inform, to persuade, and to clarify ideas in a effective way.

Now suppose that some students from your high school ask you whether they should choose Shih Chien or not. How will you convince them to choose Shih Chien instead of other universitites or how will you prevent them from studying at Shih Chien?

    Shih Chien is known for Design department which ranks the fortieth in the world; therefore, if you would love to major in Design department, then you do not worry that it is wrong to choose this one. However, if you would like to major in others, then well-known national schools are maybe better than this except you have other factors to be a student at Shih Chien. Recently, I participated in an activity where there were lots of students coming from other universities like NTU, NCCU, and so on. Although they were kind, I also felt abject. And yet, if you do care about that, it is not a bad choice to be members at Shih Chien. There are a great many profeesors who are kind and with great passion for helping students to solve problems no matter what difficulties we confront.

    Shih Chien University is a good choice for many students from few fronts. The campus is surrounding by scenic hills. There is no din from traffic outside the windows bothered during classes. Also, the school building is its distinguishing characteristic. You can see famous Japan architect TADAO ANDO style concrete structures in Shih Chien. There were many music videos and commercials shooting here. Convenient communication of Shih Chien is another good reason for choose. Students can get to school from at least three ways, Bei-An Road, Da-Zhi Bridge and Tze Chiang Tunnel by bus. The best part of Shih Chien is the education of design. College of Design of Shih Chien University was rated the No. one in Taiwan by thirty four professionals in “Global View” issued in January 2007. Classes and tutors here are very helpful to establish your creativity and individual thinking. Shih Chien University is not only advantaged in those aspects above but also a nice choice for most of students.

    When I knew that I entered the Shih Chien University, I just felt it is a featureless university like others and doesn’t have attractive characteristics at that time. However, the university gives me a different feeling currently. Despite that we aren’t as exceptional as the student of National Taiwan University, teachers are teaching hard and hope to see our progress in the future. Furthermore, there are some activities providing us to strengthen our skills. Such as English Corner is my favorite activity. It’s fun to talk with foreign teachers. My friend majors in the Department of Business Administration. She tells me that she attends a course which related to their department. Although it has to pay money for this course, it’s really helpful to her. I think it’s not just a middling university for me.

    Shih Chien University is a good university for students, especially those who want to major in design. The design department in Shih Chien is the most famous in Taiwan’s university. Although Shih Chien is a private school, its teachers and facilities doesn’t lose than national university. Also, their teachers work more hard and take a lot care for students than those who teach in the national university. Because it had been called bride and secretary school before it elevated university, it has something outstanding. Besides, its location in Taipei is easy to attain anywhere and the traffic is also convenient. Maybe the campus is a little small; however, we do not hurry to reach another building between class and class. Moverover, it will has two libraries and one gym in the campus in the future, so it will have more and more resources. Therefore, Shih Chien University is the best university for you to choose.

    Shih Chien University is a good choice for students. It is famous for the department of design. There are great teachers and workrooms. This environment provides students complete way to develop your potential and improve your ability. The department of design in Shih Chien University usually wins many prizes in any design competitions. They are not only famous in Taiwan but also in international contest. Other sections are also good. For example, our department of Applied Foreign Languages, the teachers all are nice. They are devoted to make students know more knowledge. They also hope everyone can be successful. Shih Chien University doesn’t lose on learning.

    To all students from Hsinchu Girl’s high school, I recommended you choose Shin Chien University to enter. For three reasons, first, in here you can learn different department of subjects. Such as language, musical, architecture or cloth design and so on. Second, the learning environment is diversification. Every professor has their different style. For example, my writing professor sometimes plays music to let us know the background about it. Third, although our universities resources do not so abundant like nation university. But our enthusiasm and earnestness do not lose to their. And Shin Chien University welcome to you coming.

    Shih Chien is a very special university. I don’t love this university at first sight. There has no obvious door instead of an opening area. It symbolized this university’ liberty and free. When I know this university more and more, I realize and see more beautiful part about this university. For instance, special building, kind students, top teachers, and so on. Teachers give us blueprints about future. I think if I study hard, I won’t lose to others. Welcome to Shih Chien to build up yourself more and more. It must the best choose for you.

    Shih Chien is feature with design department, so if people want to study design or construction, I will suggest them choose. If people don’t interrsted in it, there are many departments like AFL, finance and economics, and so on. Because the style of Shih Chein is very free, people can learn more and be happy. I will suggest people choose it beause professors don’t put stress on students. By the way, the buildings in Shih Chein are beautiful that I have a good mood everyday.

    If you are willing to work hardly at designing, I think Shi Jian University should be the excellent choice. The reason I strongly reccomend you Shi Jian’s desining majior is because of its special academic lessons and high publisity. As you would see, the stylish campus designed by the alumni remains the best-looking appearence among the whole campuses in Taiwan. It looks really cool and will inspire you to visit again and again. In addition,easy access to everywhere is one of the urban University’s merits as well. However there is also a notice that I should better to inform especially some of you from overseas. Shi Jian University does not have many forein students, and those who are from non Chinese spoken countries, such as me, are very few. Therefore, unless you have very good Chinese understanding or strong mentality, you are supposed to face very tough campus lile here. Shi Jian is actually still quite behind from the appropriate grobal standards compared with other Universities around. I may have scared you a bit so far, but there are still lots of fun to study abroad; you may better come over and have a look at first anyway!

    If you want to attend a university, Shih Chien University is a good choice. It is located at Taipei city. Its traffic is very convenient. The campus is small but the buildings there are very beautiful and differential. By the way, there are a convenient store and an Eslite bookstore. Indeed, they are very practical to students who need them in their daily life. There are advanced equipments such as every classroom has overhead projector and lectern computer. Students would realize the courses more clearly by them. Although there are not many departments, the teachers there are brilliant, conscientious and very kind to students. Besides, the most famous department of this school and Taiwan is design department, if you have design cloth talent, it is the best choice. In conclusion, Shih Chien University is an excellent place where you can learn much knowledge. Welcome to join us!

    Shih Chien is a good university which is famous for its design apartment. Although Shih Chien’s campus isn’t very large but small as it is, the sparrow has all the vital organs. In Shih Chien, there are many resources for students to use. The buildings here are full of designing which are special, beautiful, and creative. The professors here like our friends not the people who only study hard and do nothing else. Shih Chien also has good transport facilities where is located in Taipei city, so the students here can get many advantages not only for studies but for entertainments. Shih Chien is a free school; you can make your own decisions for your studying and feel happy at learning. Choosing Shih Chien is a good decision for you, I recommend you to choose it!

    If my high school classmates want to study how to design clothes, I will recommend them to study Shih Chien universitity. Because of Shih Chien universitity’s college of design is very famous and the students are talent and imaginative. A foreign magazine said that Shih Chien universitity’s college of design place about forty in the world. Although the professor is very brassbound, but if you graduate, you will be top in this subject.

    Have you ever seen a university situated in a city has many beauties attract people? It did have. As long as you step in the campus of Shih-Chien, the first thought comes into your mind is sure to be’ Are there any university in Taiwan has such good surrounding? It has. For instance, some creative architecture on the campus are designed by the professors from Shih-Chien University, in addition, these special buildings and professor’s pieces are also the focus for overseas media as well. If you want to be a good designer one day, Shih-Chien is absolutely your best choice. Secondly, the location of Shih-Chien can be an advantage because places you can arrive by vehicles are not only prosperous shopping mall but beautiful mountains. By the way, delicious foods around Shih-Chien are too much to mention at one time, but I strongly recommend the Lane52 especially. From his ordinary menu, you can many side-orders as one meal, and I think you will smile when you see the price. Above all, don’t you eager to rush to Shih-Chien with my attractive introductions?

    Shih Chien University is a good choice for you. Although the campus is narrow, it still has many good places and departments. For designer, the department of design is the fortieth place all over the world. It’s really famous in Taiwan. Students are all successful in their future life. They can get the job before graduate. Professors are all pretty professional in the department. The courses of the department are various. They have different kinds of areas. In management department, you can improve your English skill by audio self-study room. There are many ways to improve your English skills. You can watch movies, read books or magazines, or take some exams there. By the way, there are many activities which will be held in a semester. You can learn extra information out of school or have fun. For example, there will be some speeches of management. By attending the speeches, you can know something around you and apply what you have learned in the class to the real life. It’s useful to students. Shih Chien University is a great choice to study.
