My Typical Day

This is the last session of Unit 2 – Descriptive Paragraphs on which we’ve been spending several weeks and perhaps in the future you may use some of the skills or strategies you’ve learned in describing things, persons or places.

This week you’ll be writing a description about your daily routine which is your typical day in college life.  Practice adding sensory details and begin with a topic sentence of how you feel about your day.  You may ask the following questions before you start writing.

When do you wake up? Do you get up immediately? What do you do before you go to school? How do you get to school? What do you do on the way? When does your school start? Are you always on time? What do you do at school? When do you get out of school? When do you leave? Do you go directly home? If not, what do you do? What do you do as soon as you get home? Do you always  do the same thing? What do you do in the evening? Do you always do the same thing? When do you go to bed? How long do you sleep?

    At 6:00 a.m., my cell phone rings. It is the time that I wake up everyday. I have to get up early because I have a part-time job in school. Sweeping the stairs from attic to B1 in H building is my work. From 7:00 to 8:00 and from17:00 to 18:00 are my working times. And my lesson usually starts at 8:10. So, after I finish my work, I walk to the classroom. On my way to classroom, I always play with cats. But cats always keep sleeping. My class usually ends at 17:00. In the evening, I go to success room for one hour and then study in the library. So, I go back to dormitory almost 21:00. After taking a shower and preparing the books that should be taken next day, so 22:00 is the time that I go to bed.

    My typical day starts with a noisy alarm which I have set for 7 o’clock with my mobile. Sorry, of course not. I am joking, I usually wake up 40 minutes later, after switching off the first alert. Therefore, I really appreciate the repeat alarm function of mobile phone; because otherwise it will destroy my whole day. As you can see, I cannot afford even 30 seonds to buy breakfast on the way to school. What is more, I often go school without washing my face(this is not a joke,unfortunately.) However, the greatest thing is my flat is in 3, 4 minutes away walking with a quick step from the school. During the classes, I concerntrate on what teachers and classmates are talking about; but it is still demanding to see all meanings. After school, I usually go home directly; because I am haing a new Japanese flatmate. I recentely go out for dinner with her very often. We both love having a dessart after dinner,so I guess it may be the happiest time in a day for me. We enjoy a lovely chat over a cup of tea with a cake or tofu puddings, sometimes. At my room, I idly surf The Internet from Yahoo Japan to my Gmail account. When I find the degital clock on my PC screen shows its half past one a.m., I always wonder and get confused why time should goes such fast… Finally, after having a quick shower, I go to bed. This is the almost about my typical day.

    The typical day in my life is very uptight as long as I go to the college. Usually, I get up at seven o’clock. It is extraordinary important to set my alarm on “snooze mode” since I have to go to the first two classes before I get to work. Totally waking up is from alarm’ s ringing and ringing about half an hour later. Next I jump out of my warm bed and have a cold cleaning up to freshen myself. After a quickly dressing up, I seize my heavy bag then leave for work. About ten minutes deadly racing by my scooter and a temporary blank on my mind finally I arrive my office just on time. As a usual, I drink each a bottle of yoghourt and ice-coffee that I brought from home for breakfast also lunch. There is no lunch break of my work from eleven a.m. to five-thirty p.m.. I generally come off duty at five-forty p.m.. Afterward I drive my scooter through the foul air by traffic jam on rush hour to go to the school for the night class and buy my dinner while is already six-ten p.m.. Following hours I concentrate on instructor’s resonant voice in classes until nine-fifty p.m.. No matter how soon I leave school for home, It is at least ten-thirty p.m.. However I always try to finish the homework and watch a little bit of news for a break. At the end of a exhausted day I sleep like dead almost two o’clock a.m.. Being work my way through school therefore my daily life is really restless.

    I get up at 7:30 every day.Every time when the clock ring,I will touch it and still have a good dream,that’s why I sometimes get late for school.After school sometimes I have free time ,I will ride my motocycle with my friends to place where I have never been or I want to.On weekends I would love to sleep more It’s really hard for me to get up so early,on weekends I will sleep until 11 o’clock or 12.

    I usually get up at seven o’clock in the morning and I am used to getting up at once to avoid be late to the first class as long as I hear the clock ringing . Going to school, like other students, I must wash my face, brush my teeth, and have my breakfast. After all preparation for classes, I walk to school because I live in the dormitory. On the way, I always listen to music and start a new day with happiness. Every first class in a week starts at eight o’clock and I am usually on time. What I do at schools is to study hard; besides, I also participate in the club of the goodwill ambassadors so that at times we have to have meetings to discuss some activities after classes. I think joining a club is necessary for college students to learn how to deal with things and something we don’t learn from teachers in classes. Additionally,indeed, I always stay in the school even after all classes of a day because I live in the dormitory. As long as I go back the dormitory, it is often evening when it is time to have dinners. Therefore, I always watch TV and enjoy my dinner. After that, I often do the same things to go on the Internet watching news and browse through my e-mail box. Later, I just prepare for tomorrow’s classes. When I go to bed is always about 12 a.m. and I often sleep for seven hours.

    In this semaster, alarm clock wakes me as usual, i have to in school before 10:00am or 8:00am. After I’ve done all the preparatations before I getting on my sccoter , I will reach scool in quertar.
    i am trying to concetrate on classes if I attended every class and the instructors always surprised me from the topic we have to discuss in group almost every class,
    After i have finished the hours in school, i have to office around 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm to start my the other job.
    Due to my job is in the department of International Affairs. i have to get my daily job done before I go home
    . But sometimes, you will never know what my boss exactly wants. Therefore, hours and hours’ conmunication to the companies would takes long,
    But I do love my school and work at the same time, So, i barely don’t have enough time to sleep, every morning my struggles between getting out from the warm bed or refusing to get up from my pillow and sit on the bed….. this is almost the worst part of the day .

    My cell phone rings at 7:00 every day, but I always get up at 7:10. Before going to school, I have to clean up my looks. If there is a test on that day, I will study again. Sometimes, I drink a cup of milk. When all things are prepared, I will walk to class with my roommate. We often talk some things about yesterday. My school almost starts at 8:10, and I am late for school rarely. I listen to the course as hard as I can, however, I feel sleepy at times. I will leave school right away as the class ends. After get out of school, we go out to eat dinner everyday. We also go window-shopping on occasion. In the evening, I will prepare the course of tomorrow. I usually take a bath at 9:30. When it’s the time about 10:00 or 11:00, the bathroom of dormitory is full of people. I go to bed about 12:30 a.m. I sleep for six hours normally.

    Every morning, I wake up about six o’clock but I often stay in bed five minutes. After washing up, I usually have breakfast and review the lesson before I go to the first class. Because I live in dormitory, I only spend five minutes going to a class. However, I usually attain a class about five minutes early. The air in school is very fresh in the morning; therefore, some people often play tennis at basketball court when I pass though there. When I go to school, I notice the posters which are stick on the wall and to glance at those. At school, I enjoy the time when chat with friends and change information about school or other else. I usually go back to the dorm after school due to the computer. In fact, I think I am a computer addict. As soon as I am in the dorm, I cannot help using the computer. Consequently, I am always stay in the dorm. Besides using the computer and reviewing testbooks , I am fond of reading extracurricular books such as some literature. After 11p.m., I prepare to go to bed, so I sleep about six or seven hours. I consider my life is very regular but sometimes I want my university life to get more exciting or colorful.

    I usually get up at 7:20 everyday. Before going to school, I have my breakfast. I live in the dormitory, so I walk to the class with my roommate. We sometimes chat about the school that day and sometimes just walk. I have school in the morning from Monday to Friday. My school almost starts at 8:00. It’s so early for a college student, but I am never late for school. In the class, I pay attention to the teacher. But sometimes I still fall asleep if I sleep not enough last night. I leave the school when the class is over. Then I usually go to have our dinner at 5:00 with my classmates. After going back to the dormitory, I play the computer and chat with my friends. I take a bath at about 7:30. After washing my clothes, I start to prepare for the school on next day. I often go to bed at 1:00 a.m. I always do the same thing everyday. It’s my typical day.

    In typical day, I often wake up in six o’clock. Because I have to take about forty minutes bus to go to Shin Chien University. In winter, sometimes I will get up late. It is due to the cold weather. And my class often starts at 8:10 am expect Monday. My Monday class starts at ten o’clock. During classes, I may doze up, so my friends sometimes need to keep eyes on me. My lunch time is at twelve o’clock. I will take my lunch with my classmates. We often get to together finding cheap and delicious food to feed our stomach. And my class end at 5:00 pm. After I get home, I will watch TV or surfing on the Internet. Sometimes I may read books or listening music. And at twenty-one o’clock, I will go to bed.

    I usually wake up at 6:30 every morning, but I can’t get up immediately. I always go to buy breakfast before I go to school. I walk to school. While walking, I do nothing even don’t think anything because I am often sleepy. My school starts at 8:00 and I usually go to school on time. I learn English at school which is my major subject. I usually leave school at 5 p.m. After leaving school, I go directly home. When I get home, I usually read some novels or take a nap. I am not always do the same thing when I at home. In the evening, I usually go out walking for a while. I usually go to bed at 12 a.m. I think that I often sleep for 5 hours.

    I usually wake up at 7:00A.M. if I have classes in morning, and then I rush into bathroom brushing my tooth and wash my face to make me awake. I spend almost twenty minutes going to school by bus. Before I enter the classroom, I often buy breakfirst from 7-11. After all classes, I take the same way to back my rent room directly. When I get home, I always play computer for a while or sleep to make me relax. Later, I seldom read textbooks unless I have any test next day. About 23:00, I am going to take a bath and then I fall asleep soon. After almost 6 hours, I begin the same day.

    My alarm clock always rings at 7 o’clock. I usually got up immediately, but I sometimes got up after few minutes because I went to bed too late. After getting up, I brush my teeth, wash my face, and comb my hair. Then, I’m ready to go to my classroom. Before going to classroom, I always buy my breakfast on my way to school. At night, because I join the drum team of school, I always improve my drum skill at B1 of the B building. I’m interested in it and always have great time there. I think I can have a special skill in my life. Additionally, I go to library to look for books which I have interest in. About 11 o’clock, I go back to dormitory and get ready to go to bed. That’s my typical day.

    I wake up at 7:30 everyday and I usually don’t wake up immediately. Because I live in the dormitory, I am seldom late for school. But I have to wash my face and brush my teeth as soon as possible. I always eat bread and soymilk on my way to the classroom. My classes always start at 8:10. It’s why I have to get up so early. After classes, I always keep my roommate and classmates company. We can eat dinner together, go Carrefour to buy something we lake, go to Shi-lin night market to buy new clothes, or just stay in the dormitory to study and play computer games with my friends. I usually go to bed late even though I do nothing. I go to bed at about 1:00 am. I hope I can go to bed earlier next time.

    I set my alarm clock at seven o’clock every day. Owing to my inertia, I usually get up over thirty minutes. After washing and dressing, I am used to drink milk and eat bread for my breakfast as soon as possible, because I would be late at my class which started at 8 a.m. almost every day. I go to school on foot, because I stay in the dormitory. The way only take me five to ten minutes, so I leave the dorm very late and sometimes even nearly being late. As a result, on my way to classroom, I do nothing but hasting. Luckily, I always go into the classroom while the school bell ringing. I usually leave a classroom at 5:10 and then I enjoy my dinner and buy tomorrow’s breakfast. When I arrive to the dorm, I would take a shower to relax myself, prepare for what I have to bring to school next day, surf on the Internet to check my mail box, and watch TV program and so on. I usually go to bed at eleven o’clock, I don’t like to stay up, because it will make me feel sleepy and have no energy next day.

    Living in hall of residence where nearby the college is convenient. I need to get up when alarm clock ring, but in fact, I always slept-in. After I get out of bed, I brush my teeth, comb my hair and wash my face. After all the textbook is apoise, it’s about eight o’clock and I need to go to school. In the class, my mind was often go to space. About three o’clock, it’s time to to return home from school at the end of the day’s classes, and I always go back hall of residence not to stay out. When I enter hall of residence, I start play computer until go to bed. This is my typical day.

    “Ringing~~” It’s 7:15. I get up and clean up myself, change clothes, prepare the books which I have taken the day, and go to buy my breakfest. Usually, if I have much time I will go up stairs and get a fresh and delicious breakfast; if I haven’t I jusy have one choice that is 7-11. After I get my beakfast already, I will take the elevator to arrive the floor which is the classroom located. Soon, it is about lunch time, I always have lunch also dinner with my best friends, all of us expect the break t]me very much because it is the time we can chat, discover new things, and share something interesting to each other. After the meal time we will have classes or we will go back to dorm, Sometimes we go to shopping in 士林nightmarket or take the bus to somewhere else to know about this city better. It’s all about my typical day.
