“I Believe” Plate

Some states in America are planning to issue license plates featuring a Christian cross and the words “I Believe.” South Carolina was the first state to offer Christian car tags. Quoted as saying by CNN, Lt. Governor Andre Bauer said that people of faith have the right to profess they believe in a higher calling from God. Asked if he was afraid of a personal political backlash against him, Bauer replied, “If I were never to get elected or serve in another capacity because I pronounce my faith as a Christian.”

Jesus said, “If you don’t recognize me before men, then I won’t recognize you before the Father.” A follower of Christ must be bold enough to profess his faith and share the good news with the world.

  1. Wow this is terrible. ONce in SC my friends and I were almost denied gas at a county gas station because she had a Wicca bumper sticker on her car that simply said “blessed be”.
So what about the OTHER faiths in SC?? Do they get something?? It is true, Xtians treat you like 2nd class citizens down here, ignorant indeed but what to do?

  2. Didnt we just celebrate the birth of our country? And does everyone forget that our country was built on the princibles of the Bilble. Like everyone else we should have the choice to be able to proclaim what we believe, and if it offends someone oh well. Bev Reno Nv.

  3. What state has nothing to do with this battle. It could be New York, Montana or Alaska, the point is power and perhaps non-belief by the minority. These groups are bent on proving their influence and power over freedom and common sense. Is this not freedom of speech?
