According to an AP poll, one-thirdof the respondents from adults and parents of school-aged children believed math was the subject schools should put more emphasis on and the second is English. Asked why math should be placed most important, most of them consider parents are intimidated by math and unprepared to help at home.

Other issues are also polled such as standardized tests and teacher strike. About half of those polled said standardized tests measures the quality of education offered by schools well, while the rest disagree. The wide majority believe classroom work and homework, not standardized tests, are the best ways to measure how students are doing.
