An 8-year-old Brazilian boy who dreams of being a judge passed a law school entrance exam, which has aroused controversy in the Brazil’s legal profession. The Brazilian Bar Association said, “The boy’s achievement should be a warning about the low standards of some of the nation’s law schools.” In this country, every student is required to take an entrance exam before being admitted to college. Each university administers its own exams. The Minister of Education promised to call for an investigation. But the school said the boy had a good command of the language, especially in the essay test. The boy also expressed his strong desire of being “a federal judge”, so he decided to take the test to see how he would do, and he prepared for the test only a week ago.
In Psalms 8:2 we read, ” You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and foes.” Of course, this case should be investigated thoroughly if there has been human errors involved or the educational system at fault. However, children can reach their full potential if properly educated.
