Behind bars in America

America has jumped to No. 1 incarcerator in the world, according to a recent report. Almost one out of 100 American adults are put in jail or prison.   States are thus urged to cut down on corrections spending, because its rate of increase was six times greater than higher education spending.  Reflecting on this increased rate of inmate population, one American senator said, “Perhaps, if we adequately invested in our children and in education, kids who now grow up to be criminals could become productive workers and taxpayers.”

But what kind of education do Americans (or all the nations) need to raise and cultivate their children? Noah Webster said, “Education is useless without the Bible.”  The U.S. history has long been rooted in Christian faith, “in God we trust” which are inscribed into their coins.  No other way around but turn to God, which is the direct and best way to solving the problem of growing inmate population.
