Hi guys,

Thank you for joining us to be part of student teachers. Without your participation, we won’t be able to serve kids at Dazhi elementary school. The kids are excited to see you coming to their classes, how about you? Let’s get everything ready for this coming challenge-to be a teacher and a big brother/sister as well.

Oftentimes, we don’t know how to learn until we teach. The teaching experience at an elementary school will help us reflect how we teach and learn English. I hope you’ll reflect on yourself after each class. Share your excitement and frustration with me and your teammates. We will be staying and working together.

To love to teach is one thing; to love those who we teach is just another. Bear in mind that you are not teaching “English”, but a real human being like you. Children like adults have feelings and emotions. Sometimes they get excited; sometimes they get upset. So please be patient with your students and be cheerful to them. I’m convinced that you’ll be in love with the teaching of elementary school children.
