First Day of Class

Hi guys,

Well begun is half done. I am so proud of you, because you all have successfully completed the first day of class.

Thank you for getting up early and coming to class on time. Punctuality speaks everything. If we arrive at class earlier or on time, we make ourselves more prepared for the coming instruction as well as talking with students. And then you’ll be able to build up a better personal relationship with your students.

After the in-class discussion, I’ve found you all readily prepared for today’s lesson.  I expect that you’ll be doing better the next session after teaching sharing discussion and your own modification.

Robert Frost once said, “I am not a teacher … I am an awakener.” I think his statement is right on target. A teacher is to whet up students’ attention and interests. His or her job is not to teach about ‘ a book’ or “some knowledge”. So I challenge all of you to come up with something appealing and inspiring to your students.

Finally, I truly appreciate your time, participation and involvement.

See you next week and have a wonderful weekend!

TJ

At the very begning first, I was nervous especially when the bell ring at 8:00 because it was time for me to “teach.” even today we face a lot of difficulty on how to control the class. How to catch students attention ans sparked their positive side on learning. but one thing I think i did cool today was I didn’t ignore every students in the class. I was trying my heart to let them joing our activity. I think it’s pretty good experience. I would do more effort for the time being in the future.
