In their tens of battle with the Greeks, the Trojans still held out but became worn out. Now all of a sudden, an enormous Wooden Horse stood outside their city gates. All of the Trojans literally “saw” the same thing: a gigantic figure of a horse with an inscription to Athena on its side. To many of the Trojans, the Wooden Horse appeared to be a threat from the Greeks. To many others, it appeared to be a source of blessings from the gods. The latter are proven wrong to the destruction of their civilization.
We at times are tricked by the things with visual sensations into interpreting them mistakenly. Is there any incident where the Wooden Horse you perceived was not the reality of the situation. How did your own interpretation of the matter lead you astray? How did you discover your error?
