Eternal Love

A jewelry company invited one supermodel to promote its diamond products. The model was demonstrating a diamond in her palm and saying, “Diamond is a seal of eternal love.” I know that TV viewers will be aware of what her statement is. Diamond is one of the best gemstones. At the same time, it represents the ultimate love between lovers.

However, is it possible to find such an eternal love that  lasts forever and ever? Once in a while we could watch in a TV interview that the host or hostess asked one of the old couple whether he or she would marry his or her current wife or husband in his or her afterlife? If the husband or wife responded, “Yes, indeed,” the audience would be so much touched by his or her steadfast love. But the truth is that there is no such eternal love until we discover eternity. And there is no greater than the love of Jesus (John 15:13), who lay down his life for all humanity.

We are seeking a kind of endless love and try to maintain it forever. Unless we find out eternal life, no such eternal love can be found.
