What would you do were God about to appear to you the next hour or day? What would you prepare for seeing the Lord? As for atheists they would be wondering what God is, taking pictures of Him and analyzing him and telling you it’s all your illusion. If he were a Buddhist, he would do more good deeds in order to be led into nirvana or paradise (the blissful land). As for a Catholic, he might go to the confession  booth having his sins cleansed.

What did the people of Israel prepare as God was going to appear to them. In Leviticus 9: 1-7 Moses was commanded by God to tell the Israelites to bring offerings to the Meeting Tent and have the whole congregation assembled to worship God before the Tent. The offerings they brought were the sin offering to take away the sins of the people and the burnt offering to dedicate themselves to God. After everything was settled down, the Lord would appear to them.

God is holy and worthy of our praise and worship. If God were to appear before me, all I could do was keep worshiping Him and cry out, “O Jesus, save me and have mercy on me!”
