My Greatest Goal and Greatest Reward

In our culture religion has long been considered a type of healing medicine by which a person may find peace and solace. Through the baptism of some religion a person may lie in a place of peacefulness and blissfulness. To reach the highest goal of spiritual awakening, many religion seekers escape from this secular world and enter an untrodden land where they engage in long time meditation.

Christianity or Christian faith is also regarded as one of many religions. Jesus is just one of the gods, nothing special with Christian faith. We tend to ask people, ” Why are you doing this or that? What’s the purpose of learning something?” Why must I become  a Christian? Is it because I can have peace and joy and even eternal life? Yes, we receive all of God’s blessings if we invite Jesus to be our Savior and Lord.

But the goal of being a Christian is God Himself, “not joy, nor peace, nor blessing, but Himself, my God (Henry J.E. Holm). Reading the Bible is only a task to help us know God more; sharing the good news is another task to help others understand God loves them. But pursuing God help us to dwell in his glory and his presence that is our great reward.
