In my hometown there is a theme building featuring Heaven and Hell. Each year many tourists will come and experience the lives of what are Heaven and Hell like. Based on the simulation of man-made Heaven and Hell, everyone should walk down to Hell after he dies. Whether a person would ascend to Heaven (almost impossible), return to Earth in the form of animals or humans, or remain in Hell depends on how he or she has done on earth. After a series of investigations by King Yianlo (the Lord of the Underworld) a persol should walk across the Naiho Bridge he or she would reincarnate leaving eveything behind, including a person’s memory of past life.
I had been there twice with my family and friends before I was a Christian. I was scared of being in Hell because of horrible images and groaning and suffering sounds. Understandably I took great delight in peaceful and blissful world which is in Heaven. I thought to myself, “How can I get to Heaven? How many “good deeds” must I perform in order to earn the ticket to Heaven?” Of course neither my family nor friends could answer my questions.
Until one day Jesus came to my heart. “He came to love, hearl and forgive. He lived and died to buy my pardon.” Salvation comes from the greace of God, not from the deeds of human hands. I am no long afraid of death, for “one day, I’ll cross the rive. As death gives way to victory, I’ll see the lights of glory.”
As I know He lives, so will I live as well.
