Asked if he had anything to say against the new administration, Former President George W. Bush refused to criticize, saying, “He deserves my silence.”Actually, He wants Obama to succeed.
In our country, as President Ma rises to power a year later, most of the Taiwaneses are still struggling to make ends meet. People are complaining about not having a better life. Those who support the new administration will lay blame on the former government because Former President Chen has been involved in embezzlement and money laundering scandal. Conversely, those who support the Chen administration will slam Ma’s inability to lead the country and to alter current economic conditions. Who is right? Who is wrong?
The apostle Paul in Romans 12:14 encouraged his Christian brothers and sisters to “bless and do not curse”. In another letter to the Christians of Ephesus, he said, “Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.”
Are we holding grudges against anyone now? Or are we being pursecuted by someone? Our persecutos or enemies not only deserve our silence, but Gods’ blessing as well. Let us sincerely and humbly pray that our enemy will succeed.
