Ageing is an inevitably process humans have been working to prevent for ages. In China Emperor Qin shi Huang assigned a group of his officers abroad to seek some kind of medicine of youth and longevity, but they worked in vain and didn’t return to the palace. In Greek Mythology, all Olympian gods and goddesses were created young forever. Cupid was born as a baby, Apollo a handsome young men; they never become aging. In modern society, people use makeup to keep younger. Whatever we try to do, we can’t prevent the ageing process. In time, our body will not work and function properly.
In Christ we become a new creation or a new person; old things have passed away and all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). Surely, Like non-Christians, we believers are in no way to stop ageing. Our physical body will be deteriorating, but our” inner man” will be renewed by the spirit of God. As it is written, “Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we being renewed day by day” (2 Corinthians 4:16).
You and I are a “new person” and will keep newer and newer if we’re basking in the grace of Christ.
