His Compelling Love

Yesterday I was told from my colleague that one of the students under her mentorship had dropped out of college in preparation for studying in seminary to dedicate her life and time to the Lord completely. This girl was diligent and committed to her studies as she was taking a course with me last semester. On hearing her decision, I was surprised but delighted to have one more Christ’s bride minister full time in the kingdom of God.

As she shared her testimony one time after class, I was amazed at how God had healed her of depression without taking any medication any more. And now God is even working a greater grace in her heart, calling her to serve Him in his field. “For Christ’s love compels us, … , that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him do died for them and was raised again” (2 Corinthians 5: 15-16).

I know she is ready and longing for the love of Christ and “a better country — a heavenly one”, even now as what I’ve heard, she is facing some obstacles or persecution, but God will make a way and lift her up to a higher place that God has prepared for her and to enjoy intimate communion with her.
