Gideon called his family and himself “the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh and the least in his entire family” as the angel of God greeted him, “a mighty hero, the Lord is with you.” Gideon didn’t believe what the angel said to him and started complaining about the horrible condition he and God’s people were frequently placed in under the harassment of Israel’s enemy. The Lord didn’t answer back and rebuke his grudges or lack of faith; instead He clothed Gideon with His power of the Spirit and the people started following his leading.
Whenever we are weak, we may become strong through the love of Jesus Christ as well as putting on the power of the Holy Spirit. God never regards his children as little or weak as long as they keep God in perspective.
Before leaving for work or school every morning, do we allow the Spirit of God to take hold and follow suit humbly?
