Believe it or not! husband’s fidelity is closely related to gene construction. According to a recently released study, variation in a section of the gene called RS3 334 was linked to how males are committed to their partners. Males can have none, one or two copies of the RS 3 334 section, and the higher the number of copies males have, the worse they scored on a measure of pair bonding. The researchers also pointed out that men with two copies of RS 3 334 were more likely to be unmarried or have twice a marital crisis if married, compared to men with none or one.

One day some Pharisees came to Jesus, trying to test him by asking, “Should a man be allowed to divorce his wife for any reason?” Jesus said to them in reply, ” Have you read in Scripture that from the beginning God made them male and female. For this reason,  a man shall leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into on. Since they are no longer two but one, let no one separate them, for God has joined them together.” But the Pharisees continuously trapped Jesus and said, “Why did Moses say man could merely write an official letter divorce and send her away.” Jesus replied, “Because your hard-hearted wickedness Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.”

“Because of evil thoughts” we humans justify our actions or wrongdoings by making excuses. For instance, it is RS3 334 which create a marital crisis, not me. God doesn’t say it is your gene creating troubles, but it is your “hard-hearted wickedness.”

Let’s face the music and recognize that we need a savior, Jesus, to cleanse us of all our sins.
