You would never see this type of political billboard in other countries except in Taiwan; the sign reads, “qing buyao zhui sha a-bian ‘Please do not pursue and kill A-bian’ (former president of Taiwan).” As mentioned in my previous blog, A-bian is accused of being involved in a money-laundering scandal. The ad claims that let court do justice on A-bian, not the media.
I am not either for or against a particular party. However, this sign really catches my attention and reminds me of asylum-cities in ancient Israelites. In Numbers 35:9-34 God told the people of Israel to choose asylum-cities or cities of refuge as they entered the promised land. For those who kill someone accidentally, they could escape to the asylum cities where they will be safe from the dead person’s relative who seeks revenge. No one accused of manslaughter is to be put to death without a public.
Perhaps the person who has put up the billboard knows a bit about the Bible!
