As the people of Israel stepped into the desert, God sent an angel ahead of them to protect them and being them into the place which he promised. God told Moses the leader to command his people to obey his messenger and not to rebel against him. When they entered the land, God would drive out the Israelites’ enemies before them until they took possession of the land completely.

On the way to the promised land, like the Israelites we are encountering obstacles and barriers ahead of us. But God’s promise will never fail as long as we follow his guidance. He will put away every hindrance as we advance. At times we put more focus on our trouble or difficulties than God himself. We try hard to find ways to cope with problems. But God says that he will make your enemies turn and run from you.

O Lord, help us to fix our eyes upon you, not our enemies.
