A Web-based company just launched its personalized DNA test costing $2,500 dollars.  What a customers needs to do is spit into a tube and the company will tell you your risk for heart attack and other conditions. The company says the goal of a genetic testing or more specifically a genome test is to improve health. Once you know your personal risk, you may take action to deal with it such as avoiding some food or increasing the intake of some dietary supplements.

With technological advances mankind has witnesses longer lifespans and lowered natural disasters since the 20th century. But for how long will we live? Psalm 90 tells us that the length of our days is seventy years  or eight if we have the strength. However, the span of our lives is but trouble and sorrow. Let us not boast of our longevity but of Christ who endows eternity and beseech Him to satisfy us in the morning with His love, so that we may sing for joy and be glad al our days, as the psalmist wrote.
