God-consciousness or self-consciousness?

In his new book “The Third Jesus” Deepak Chopra describes Jesus as a three-person figure, “a sketchy historical figure”, “a abstract theological creation”, and “a highest level of enlightenment.  The term “The Third Jesus” has been coined to reflect the highest level of enlightenment for humanity.  In Deepak’s description, Jesus is not a savior, nor a God’s begotten only son, but the embodiment of enlightenment – what he calls God-consciousness.

While Jesus was on earth there was much confusion about who He was.  One day, Jesus asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” They replied, “John the Baptist”, “Elijah”, or ” one of the other prophets”.  Today, there are still many people keeping on  asking or searching who Jesus is or was.  They work hard doing a lot reading and researching from all various resources or even from the Bible.  Yet, they refuse the truth to get across their mind or heart. As a result, they come up with their own idea of God.  They have been seeking themselves, not God Himself.

Are you seeking God today? In John 14:6,  Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life ; no one comes to the Father except through Me.” Let’s turn to  the Bible and find out who God is.
