With enviornmental awareness in mind the Canadian government has urged its citizens to conserve water.  But it has turned out that the less water the citizens consume the water department gets  stuck in tight budget.  Burdened with rebuilding an aging water infrastructure with declining revenue, the government has decided to raise the water prices by 9.4 percent.

In Ecclesianstes  7:16 it says, “Do not be over-righteous.”  We are commanded to do good to others whenever it is possible. But if we over-do something for its own sake, not for the Lord, it may backfire, things like over-fasting or over-praying, not seeking God’s will but satisfying our own desires.

Nothing is required of us but what God has commanded in His Word.
