The early days of March in Taiwan will signal election time, when the presidential hopefuls from two major parties maneuver for votes and the people cast their ballots for their favorite candidates. And, like it or not, for the next four years we are stuck with whoever wins the presidency. If it’s not our kind of candidate, we can get pretty down in the dumps.

Even if being a Christian, I am still being dragged into the mindset of  being either  a “blue” or a “green”, an advocate of the major opposition or ruling party. But as I constantly reflect on the biblical mandate, I find myself havign slipped in this secular world. Are my hope and confidence built on the government or the throne in heaven? Thank God to help me realign my attitude and have insight into what holds my heart.
