Early yesterday morning a hired worker came to clean my apartment’s water cistern (tank). The moment the cleaning of the tank was completed my tap water stopped running. I tried to figure out how to fix the water problem as I kept running upstairs and downstairs checking on the tank and the taps. I couldn’t do anything about it. Later the day the water was dribbling. But my heart was disturbed and felt uneasy.
In Psalm 37 the psalmist reminds us to rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him. As things come against us, we tend to get annoyed and frustrated. We give away our peace and joy to the surroundings. Or try to come up with a personal plan, but not God’s. Let’s surrender ourselves to God and seek His face today instead of allowing cares and worries to overwhelm us.
